  • Le​gal Framework for Waste Management in Mauritius​

  • The current legal framework in Mauritius for the environmentally sound waste management comprises the Environment Pro​tection Act (EPA) of 2002, as amended in 2008, and the Local Government Act (LGA) of 2011 as amended in 2018.  The following Regulations have been made under the EPA and the LGA:
